Getting Your Legs in Shape After Childbirth

Getting rid of stretch marks and cellulite after childbirth

There is a myth that slim girls are protected from stretch marks and cellulite after childbirth. This is not true. Cellulite is fat. The orange peel effect is caused by the thickening and enlargement of fat tissue.

Stretch marks appear because body mass and volume increase, and the skin doesn’t have time to stretch naturally. Small tears occur.

Causes of postpartum cellulite and stretch marks

  • Genetic predisposition.
  • Metabolic rate.
  • Age.
  • Bad habits.
  • Lack of vitamins and trace elements.
  • Excess weight.
  • Endocrine gland diseases, diabetes.
  • Hormonal changes.
  • Improper nutrition. During pregnancy, many women are guilty of this.
  • Reduced physical activity.

Several questions arise. How to get rid of cellulite after childbirth? How to slim down the legs? How to remove stretch marks on the legs after childbirth?

Approach to combating postpartum cellulite

A comprehensive approach works well for any issue.

Nutrition

A well-chosen diet contributes to weight loss and the overall condition of the body.

  • Avoid smoked, salty, fatty, and spicy foods. Exclude semi-finished products, ready-made sauces, chips, croutons, and snacks from the diet. Limit sweets and baked goods.
  • Drink plenty of fluids (water, compotes, fruit drinks, and green tea). Include vegetables and fruits in your diet. The foundation of the diet should be lean meat and fish, light soups, dairy products, and cereals. It is better to prefer small portions of dark chocolate, dried fruits, and honey for sweets.
  • A doctor will help determine whether the body needs vitamins and which specific ones.

Exercises

To remove thighs and cellulite after childbirth, you need to exercise. Begin with regular walking. Then add exercises:

  • Standing on all fours, lean on your elbows and perform leg kicks backward.
  • Squats. It’s important to ensure your back is straight. Stretch your arms in front of you.
  • Step-ups. Keep your hands on your waist. Do the exercise alternately for each leg.

Wraps

Before the procedure, you need to thoroughly clean and steam the skin. For wrapping, honey, ground coffee, sea salt, algae, and blue clay are suitable. Apply the mixture evenly on the skin, wrap with plastic, and cover with fabric on top. Keep for 30-40 minutes. This method removes cellulite on the legs after childbirth by improving blood circulation and sweating. This way, toxins are removed from the body and fluid retention is eliminated.

Massage

It will help remove excess fluid and improve skin blood flow. There are 3 types of massage you can do yourself at home:

  • With a stiff glove (regular washcloth or special). For the procedure, make a solution with the ratio of 2 tablespoons of salt per liter of water. Soak the glove in it. Rub the cellulite areas with movements from bottom to top.
  • Pinch massage. Pinch the skin of the legs until you feel warmth and redness on the skin.
  • Honey. For 2 tablespoons of honey, you need 2 drops of vegetable oil. Apply the remedy to problematic areas. First, palms are pressed to the skin, then quickly removed.

Salon treatments to combat cellulite after childbirth

Mesotherapy

Injections are administered to problematic areas. Drugs and their composition are selected individually. Components of the subcutaneous fat layer are broken down. Lymphatic drainage is enhanced. The skin becomes more elastic and gains a healthy color.

Chemical peeling

The composition is applied to the skin. It removes dead skin cells and improves blood flow. Stretch marks become less noticeable.

Mechanical peeling

The procedure is similar to the previous one but is performed with fine abrasive particles – silicone beads or natural material. Not suitable for sensitive skin.

Electrolipolysis

The procedure is performed using a special device. Electrodes give an impulse to fat cells, which break down and are expelled by the blood and lymph from the body.

Abdominoplasty

This is a surgery. Micro incisions are made on the skin. Through them, fat is removed. Then the skin is tightened.

Laser correction

Laser beams act on the skin’s surface – they remove dead cells, add pigment, and improve recovery processes. After the procedure, a small scab forms and falls off by itself in two weeks. Correction can be repeated in a month.

Biorevitalization

Nourishing the skin with hyaluronic acid. The procedure is performed by injection or laser. It is prescribed after peeling and other aggressive procedures to accelerate regeneration.

It’s better to consult a doctor before going to the salon.
