The safety of anal sex is a subject of heated debate: both among doctors and the general public. Arguments are often made against even single acts. So what is the truth: is it possible to have anal sex after childbirth? Or is it taboo for a new mother?
If a woman practiced anal sex before pregnancy and does not have negative emotions about it, such practice can be continued after the baby is born. However, it is important to observe the pause in sexual activity recommended by the doctor – this also applies to non-traditional sex.
Engaging in anal sex immediately after childbirth is not allowed under any circumstances. This would disrupt the healing processes of wounds and the body’s recovery.
Generally, if the childbirth was not difficult, the doctor recommends abstinence for a month or slightly longer. The signal to resume sexual activity is the end of lochia as well as healed stitches and tears.
It is not recommended to start earlier. The problem is that even with such contact, there is pressure on the vaginal walls. After all, the prohibition on sexual activity is specifically backed by the concern for the integrity of the vagina.
Thus, the approximate timing for when anal sex can be resumed is 4-6 weeks after childbirth.
Anal sex is not recommended in the following situations:
Preparation is essential for intercourse: both physically and mentally. If a woman is not psychologically ready for such experiments, it is not advisable to try.
